Pittsburgh Indian Associations


Pittsburgh is home to several Indian community associations.

Every Indian community, be it Bengalis, Marathis, Tamils, Telugus or Gujaratis, has its own association.

Besides language based associations, there are organizations representing the interests of students at Carneige Mellon University as well.

Indian associations in Pittsburgh are active and often organize events to celebrate prominent Indian events and festivals like Indian Independence Day, Republic Day and Ganesh Chaturthi, Dasara, Diwali, Sankranti, Ugadi and Vishu that bond the community.

Most of these events include cultural programs like Music concerts, Bhangra, Bollywood dance and food counters serving Idly, Vada, Mysore Masala Dosa, Dokhla, Samosa, Dum Biryani etc.
